When we first started developing our new range of kitchen scales that are digital we imagined a certain type of cook, a baker who is a fervent fan perhaps, or the kind of healthy meal tracking kind. However, as we tested scales and used for cooking, we discovered that almost every type of cook can benefit from a kitchen scale. Do you want evenly cooked meatballs? Just weigh the dough. Are you looking to make pancakes or cakes without getting the million measuring cups in place? You can trust the scale. You want to try the diet with a lot of chocolate? You'll likely need a scale to do this. Scales can make cooking easier and more efficient, as well as giving measurements that are more precise. (Think of all the dishes you don't need to clean!) Scales are an extremely popular option as they're not likely to make a mistake. The new model we have is waterproof! It's easier (and more accurate!) than measuring.Although it isn't easy it is true that recipes using grams are much more precise than those which use cups. Non-wheat flours, like rice and nut flours can be a bonus. They may differ in weight based on brand, by up to 2 12 ounces for each 1/4-ounce cup. Can you imagine how many variables this lack of precision can introduce into your biscuits, bread loaves and roll recipes? It will help keep your kitchen tidy and cleanThe charms of a scale go beyond accuracy, as many bakers will inform you. It's also more efficient. It's the difference between dirtying one teaspoon, a tablespoon or four measuring cups the measuring vessel for liquid glass or a large bowl a small bowl--and just having a single big bowl to clean. Doesn't this sound fantastic? We believe so. It was a big success with our test kitchen cooks. It has the feature of a "touchless tare," meaning you'll be able to simply move your hand across it to measure the weight of the big bowl in which you're adding everything. (For an image of this check out this link or click below for helpful tips!) This will let you quickly switch between grams, ounces, and ounces. This is an example of how it can help. If you are making biscuits, you might have been used to scooping the flour out by hand then moving it around in order to get it to fit in the cup more efficiently, and finally making sure it was level. It is possible that you don't know if you got the correct measurement. With a kitchen scale, you can just add dry ingredients in the same bowl. You can shake the flour from the bag or into the container. By swiping your fingers, you'll then zero out each ingredient as you go with the tare function. Mix in flour until amounts of grams read correctly. Do the same with baking powder, salt and sugar. Tare it out once more, and add the butter, right into the bowl. You're now on the way to making biscuits that are one bowl. It will help you stay healthyAnother thing a food scale can aid you in is measuring foods for health-related reasons. Many of us have weighed our healthy lunches but have not thought about eating enough protein. It's easy to measure the amount of salmon, chicken or almonds to make a salad or to put them in bags. This scale is ideal to keep track of the amount of sweets you consume every day. So avoid leaden biscuits and wacky bread and order the kitchen scale today. Find out how much time it your cleanup time at the end. You will love the consistency of your biscuits, cookies and loaves. Revel in how quickly it makes cooking easier, without needing to clean your countertop every time you weigh flour.
